Resting Splints

Complications, after a Stroke, for example, can cause the hand to have reduced strength and mobility and eventually develop a contracture, i.e. the hand and fingers cannot be straightened. Therefore, it is important to start orthosis treatment, along with hand therapy, at an early stage before contracture or spasticity is established. SOT is a resting orthosis for the spastic or paretic hand, where it is intended to maintain or increase the mobility of the hand.
