Allard International Expands Range of Hand and Wrist Orthoses

Allard International expands its range of hand and wrist orthoses with two new products in the VISSION™ range: VISSION™ Finger Splint POSI and VISSION™ Wrist Orthosis Dorsal. Two textile orthoses developed for clinical use, where functional stabilization is combined with high comfort and user acceptance.
Functional design for high user acceptance
VISSION™ is a range of orthoses specifically developed for trauma care and the treatment of injuries and overuse conditions. The range of hand and wrist orthoses is based on well-established principles from traditional hand orthoses, but with an updated design and conscious material choices. Experience from hand therapists and other specialists shows that comfortable fit, function, and discreet design are crucial for patient acceptance and compliance. The VISSION™ range has been developed with exactly this focus. The classic, discreet design contributes to high user acceptance and makes the products easy to work with in a clinical setting.
Focus on materials, fit, and comfort
The materials are latex-free, tested for skin contact, and developed to retain both shape and elasticity over time, even with repeated use and washing. The comfortable, soft inner lining minimizes the risk of chafing and irritation, while flexible elastic provides targeted support and a secure fit without causing discomfort. All products are machine washable at 40 °C, facilitating hygiene in daily use.
VISSION™ Wrist Orthosis Dorsal: Stability with maintained function
VISSION™ Wrist Orthosis Dorsal is a comfortable textile wrist orthosis developed for clinical use when a volar splint is not tolerated or causes discomfort. The orthosis is equipped with two dorsal plastic stays and an elastic wrist strap that provides additional stabilization while preserving grip function.
The soft, breathable textile makes the orthosis suitable for prolonged use and contributes to good patient comfort. By limiting excessive wrist movement without completely immobilizing the hand, the orthosis is well suited for conditions such as tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, lateral epicondylitis (used in combination with an epicondylitis orthosis), hypermobility, and rheumatic disorders.
VISSION™ Finger Splint POSI: Immobilization for effective rehabilitation
VISSION™ Finger Splint POSI is a textile hand and finger splint designed for immobilization of the wrist and fingers II–V following trauma or surgery. The orthosis features an adjustable volar aluminum splint that enables precise positioning in the Position of Safe Immobilization (POSI) – a position that protects joints and soft tissues, reduces the risk of contractures, and creates optimal conditions for healing. An adjustable distal strap can be positioned and adapted to individual needs, while the wide strap helps reduce swelling/edema in the fingers and on the dorsum of the hand.
