Updated HyMo textile orthosis combines targeted support with conscious material choices
10 March 2026
HyMo is a custom-made, dynamic textile orthosis developed for people with hypermobility. With individually tailored support and high comfort, HyMo offers increased confidence for a more active life.
Developed for hypermobility and instability
HyMo stands for Hyper Mobility and is specifically designed for patients with hypermobility, for example in Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder. The custom-made orthosis provides even, constant pressure against the body, which can contribute to improved posture and increased joint stability.
The design is based on a core construction that provides support and a controlled range of motion where needed, for example in the shoulder joints. For patients requiring additional stability, optional reinforcements are also available.
The primary target group for HyMo is patients diagnosed with hEDS (hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome) or HSD (Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder). HyMo can be used by adults and children from 10 years of age.
Targeted or full-coverage support – in a compliant material
HyMo is available as a body and trousers and can be used individually for targeted support or combined for more comprehensive support. Regardless of configuration, the goal is the same: stability without compromising comfort. The orthosis provides support and stability while remaining flexible and comfortable against the skin.
The discreet design allows HyMo to be worn under regular clothing without feeling bulky or restrictive in everyday life.
What sets HyMo apart from other orthoses?
What distinguishes HyMo is the combination of custom manufacturing, a unique material, and thoughtful design. HyMo is made from a high-quality elastic material that adapts to the body’s shape and movements. The material is produced through a patented manufacturing process that results in a strong yet lightweight fabric that is both comfortable and maintains its stretch over time.
Because it is custom-made, the HyMo orthosis provides optimal pressure and support exactly where it is needed.
HyMo is a comfortable textile orthosis that not only stabilizes and relieves joints, but can also contribute to increased confidence, improved rehabilitation, and a more active lifestyle.
New material choice with a focus on sustainability
When developing new products, we always strive to make conscious and responsible choices. Each product undergoes a separate sustainability analysis in which materials, production, transportation, and lifespan are evaluated as part of the work to develop products with well-considered material and design solutions and high quality standards.
We continuously work to improve our material choices to take steps toward more resource-efficient and long-term sustainable products. In the development of HyMo, the focus has therefore been on exploring how the orthosis can be further developed using more conscious material choices.
The latest version of HyMo is manufactured using a new fabric made partly from recycled polyamide fibers derived from industrial textile waste. Compared to newly produced polyamide, the production of recycled polyamide requires fewer resources such as water, energy, and chemicals.
More recycled components and material-optimized design
In addition to the fabric, zippers, zipper tapes, threads, and product labels have been replaced with alternatives containing recycled fibers. At the same time, the design has been material-optimized by removing the elastic band that was previously sewn around the neckline and the opening of the body. These parts are now cut and sewn using the same fabric as the rest of the product, which both reduces material consumption and creates a more uniform design.
All recycled components are certified according to GRS (Global Recycled Standard) and Oeko-Tex.
Custom-made production with efficient material use
The manufacturing of HyMo takes place in our own factory, where a dedicated team works exclusively with custom-made products. All parts are cut by hand, and the pattern pieces are manually arranged to utilize the material as efficiently as possible. With extensive experience and great attention to detail, they ensure that every HyMo orthosis is made to perfection.
